Superleague Formula
Superleague Formula is a new motorsport championship featuring specially designed V12 Élan Panoz cars racing in the colours of leading international football clubs. With the first race scheduled for August 2008, OLB has so far produced broadcast news edits and promotional videos for marketing communications from launch events for AC Milan, FC Basel, PSV Eindhoven, Olympiacos, Borussia Dortmund, Anderlecht , FC Porto, Sevilla FC, Galatasaray and Brazil’s Flamengo and Corinthians, with additional clubs from France, Mexico, Korea, Portugal and the United Arab Emirates scheduled to launch during the coming weeks.
Speedcar Series
For the launch of the new Dubai-based one make stock car championship featuring twenty-four identical 620bhp cars with V8 engines, OLB distributed B-roll footage, news edits and live satellite linked interviews with principals and drivers from the series.
Ernie Els Club, Dubai
In January 2008 OLB produced an international news edit, live interviews with Ernie Els and B-roll footage featuring guest celebrities including Andrew Flintoff, Martina Navratilova, John Smit and Peter Schmeichel from the launch of the first ever Els Club at Dubai Sports City.
National Guard Hospital, Riyadh
Separation of conjoined twins
Western broadcasters don't often carry much news from Saudi Arabia; it's not an easy country for journalists to get into, and if they do get in it’s not always an easy place to work. So, when an operation was planned to separate ten-month-old Iraqi conjoined twins Fatima and Zahra Rabat, the King Abdulaziz Medical City – the hospital where the operation took place – decided to make it easier for broadcasters to cover their story by using OLB to provide the contacts, production expertise and facilities to get the story out to the wider world. Over the 18 hours of the operation OLB produced a total of 15 live television and radio interviews with the surgeon from the operating theatre with CNN, BBC News 24, BBC World, Sky News, ITN and others, followed by a live coverage of the post-operation press conference, an internationally distributed news edit and, a few days later, an interview with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as he visited the twins in hospital following the successful separation.
PricewaterhouseCoopers
For many years OLB has advised on generating TV and radio coverage for selected specialist reports and announcements from PricewaterhouseCoopers. Every four months OLB arranges live broadcast interviews for PwC's Head of Macroeconomics on publication of UK Economic Outlook and associated special reports on topical economic issues.
JCB DIESELMAX Land Speed Record
When Andy Green shattered the international diesel land speed record on the remote Bonneville Salt Flats in August 2006, we were there to record the event and deliver news footage to the world's media as soon as the record was broken. Find out more about how we did it.
Zurich Financial Services
Every six months, for Full Year and Half Year Results, OLB arranges live interviews with international broadcasters and news agencies for Chief Executive, James J. Schiro, via satellite link from the results presentation in Zurich.
Etihad Airways flies Brazil football team to Abu Dhabi
Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, flew the legendary Brazil football team to Abu Dhabi for an international friendly match against the UAE in advance of the 2006 World Cup. OLB filmed their visit and distributed news footage to broadcasters and agencies around the world.
